About the service:
ASD Assessment Services provide assessment and diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This includes Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome.
The assessor is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and the British Psychological Society.
Assessment includes use of the Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO); a nationally recognised diagnostic tool recommended by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) for the assessment of ASD.
The service is based in Derbyshire but can see people living in other locations in the UK.
What you can expect from the service:
Assessment from a professional who is experienced in assessing and working with people with ASD and will be sensitive to their needs and difficulties.
A thorough assessment process.
A detailed report that includes the outcome of the assessment, diagnosis (if applicable), a formulation that helps the person to understand themselves in the context of having ASD (should they receive a positive diagnosis) and recommendations/advice.
